NYC Live! @ Fashion Week 2025 – Official Recap Video

09.17.25

NYC Live! @ Fashion Week 2025 brought designers together in New York — uniting color, culture, and emotion in a powerful global showcase.

It felt like a family reunion at Flatiron Studio on Tuesday night, where designers and artists from China, New York, Houston, and Miami gathered in Midtown after a two-year hiatus. The last show was held in September 2023.

Now in its 17th season, the showcase came together in just nine weeks, all under the direction of producer Michael Reid, who dedicated this year’s Fashion Week event to his late mother, who would have turned 80.

«They are designers that we have worked with over and over again, »said Reid, who also noted the team’s recent ventures to France for the Olympics and earlier this year in March.

The Spring/Summer collections brought colors to the runway – shades of red, brown, velvet tones, and yellow defined the Houston-based designer Alvertis Alexander’s line. Sparkle and shine followed, with Ava Springfellow’s creations, while John Naftali’s Pan Zai Boutique introduced pearly suits for men.

The evening closed with a nod to the United Nations’ birthday, as designer Yi Ling Li unveiled pieces celebrating peace and happiness.
